Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Sales Leadership:

    • Identify new business opportunities for the Voltaire Design brand

    • Develop the brand through sales at major events and trade fairs. Identify and sponsor top
      riders/athletes and future stars as brand endorsers and ambassadors

    • Promote and reinforce the brand with existing and new customers

    • Achieve growth and hit sales targets by successfully managing the sales team

    • Use intimate knowledge of the equestrian industry on a daily basis and complete all aspects of the managerial job duties, including coordinating with the headquarters in France and European sales teams. 

    • Assist in international business development as needed

  • Team Management:

    • Recruit new sales representatives /Sport Saddle Specialists to develop the Voltaire Design brand

    • Train existing sales teams on new sales tactics. Find a motivational system for the sales team

    • Run weekly reports for the sales team and for the COO

    • Set quotas and expectations for the sales team

    • Will manage/supervise at least 3 Sports Saddle Specialists

As part of the role, this individual will be traveling up to 75% of the time throughout the region (Florida, Texas, Georgia, Kentucky & the Carolinas).

Job requirements

Must-Haves:

  • Valid US Driver License

  • US Work Authorization

  • At least 3 years experience in the equestrian industry in the areas of sales and marketing of equestrian equipment/products such as saddles and related equipment including custom-made equestrian saddles

  • Experience in assessing, identifying, fitting/refitting custom-made equestrian saddles and providing after-sales customer service also required

  • Strong knowledge of international business, as well as effective communication skills and business management skills required

  • Travel required (domestic) 75% of the time, as needed
