Traveling Event Internship with Stella Saddlery

Are you ready to jumpstart your career in the equine industry? Stella Saddlery, the western saddle brand of Voltaire Groupe, is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Special Projects Coordinator intern to join our growing and dynamic team.

This internship offers a fast-paced opportunity to develop your professional skills, work with top-tier horses, as well as professional and amateur equestrians across multiple disciplines, and potentially advance within our organization.

At Stella Saddlery, we combine the long-standing French tradition of saddle making with cutting-edge technology. Our primary workshop is located in the marvelous town of Bidart, Basque Country, in the South West of France.

Core Responsibilities:

• Represent Stella Saddlery at horse shows and industry events across the United States.

• Be the face of the brand, engaging with the public and working closely with our Stella Saddle Experts and sales team in assigned regions.

• Generate leads for new business opportunities with professional and amateur riders, and set up fitting appointments for the Saddle Expert team.

• Take charge of setting up and tearing down Stella Saddlery booths and displays at assigned horse shows and industry events.

• Assist Saddle Experts and the Sales Manager in the field with customer service, fit checks, and repair evaluations as needed.

• Anticipate potential issues or needs and communicate them proactively to the sales manager or designated Saddle Expert.

Qualifications:

• Willingness and ability to travel as much as 80% of the time, including weekends, holidays, and extended periods in various locations.

• Applicable experience with horses and a passion for the equine industry.

• Ability to “see around corners” and anticipate potential issues or needs.

• Excellent internal and external communication skills.

• Motivated self-starter with strong problem-solving abilities.

• Physical ability to assist with booth setup and teardown, including lifting and moving equipment, saddles, trade show displays, vehicles, etc.

• Valid driver’s license.

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Compensation:

Base Salary: $2,000 per month
